Chris Brown and Rihanna's Duet -- New Single Together Drops Next Week!

GOOGLINGNEWS, Well, this should stir up some serious controversy! Life & Style can reveal exclusively that Rihanna and Chris Brown will release a duet next week.
"Rihanna's dropping a new single next week, and Chris is going to be featured on it," an insider tells Life & Style. "It's going to be a full version of an interlude titled 'Birthday Cake' from [her latest album] Talk That Talk."
And in another big step forward for the exes -- who split in 2009 after Chris assaulted Rihanna -- the two singers are once again on good terms, Chris' rep has confirmed to Life & Style.
"Chris and Rihanna are friends again," his rep tells Life & Style. But the rep denies that the exes have rekindled their romance. "They're just friends," the rep adds
Signs of a collaboration had been mounting for some time. Earlier this month, Rihanna responded to a tweet about when her fans could expect a full version "Birthday Cake" with: "I promised! 1st on the agenda '12 #CAKE."
Adding fuel to the fire, producers Da Internz confirmed the song would be released this month.
"Both our bdays & @rihanna's bday [are] in FEB, & this is the month we release FULL VERSION OF #CAKE. MOVIE SCRIPT S--T PEOPLE," they he said: "It's gonna be crazy. And the feature on there is gonna shock the world."
And just 11 days after that, Chris and Rihanna were spotted going into the same recording studio in LA.
Three years ago this month, Chris brutally attacked Rihanna after a Grammy party. In June 2009, he pleaded guilty to felony assault and received up to five years' probation.
A restraining order was issued, but in February 2011 it was downgraded to a level-one order, which allows Chris to have contact with Rihanna.
"I'm a fan of his stuff. I've always been a fan," Rihanna has said about Chris since the assault. "Obviously, I had some resentment toward him for a while, for obvious reasons. But I've put that behind me. It was taking up too much of my time. It was too much anger. I'm really excited to see the breakthrough he's had in his career. I would never wish anything horrible for him. Never. I never have."
Reps for neither Chris nor Rihanna would confirm or deny that the song will be released.
